What should an investment committee check in a pitch deck?
Check each material claim, the evidence behind it, whether the numbers agree across slides and documents, and what the deck leaves out. Then turn the gaps into specific questions for the founders.

The checklist
Problem and customer: who has the problem, and what evidence of demand is shown?
Traction: are revenue, users and growth figures stated with dates and definitions?
Unit economics: are acquisition cost, margin and repeat purchase shown or only implied?
Consistency: do figures match between slides, the financial model and other documents?
Team: are relevant experience and roles stated?
Capital: how much is being raised, for what, and how long it lasts?
Gaps: what would the committee need that is not in the deck?
Treat founder documents carefully
A founder spreadsheet that agrees with the deck is consistent, not independently verified. Keep the two ideas separate in the record.
Worked example (synthetic)
In the synthetic Aster & Moss memo, stated revenue appears on two slides with different periods. The record flags the inconsistency for follow-up rather than concluding either figure is wrong.

- A checklist structures review; it does not decide outcomes.
- Absence of data is not treated as a negative signal at early stage.
Questions
Does Zurvek give a score or a recommendation?
No. It produces a structured record of claims, evidence, gaps and questions. The decision stays with the committee.
